Graphics drivers have evolved to the point where temperature is about the only limiting factor on how fast your card can go. We always abuse the card to get the worst possible scenario, so don’t take this as an average in most games. Similarly as the global energy crisis explodes, especially in the UK, knowing how much your bill will suffer is a useful piece of information.
It’s worth noting that the most recent launches are both found at the bottom end of our temperature graph, showing the two main manufacturers commitment to efficiency and better cooling.
