Overclocking

With a card that is so heavily overclocked out of the box there isn’t much extra to squeeze out, but if you fancied having a go at improving upon ASUS’ own work then there is a teensy bit more to be had, but not enough that we think it is worth fiddling about too long. The benefits of a factory overclock is that all the hard work is done for you.

Although we’ve grabbed 50 MHz above ‘stock’ you can see from the maximum core clock on the right hand shot that nVidias GPU Boost can do a much better anyway, so treat the Strix OC as a plug and forget card.
