ASUS ROG Strix Radeon RX 5700 XT Review
Test Setup
As with any of our testing we always want to be able to compare results as like for like as possible. For the RX 5700 XT that means testing on our current GPU rig which doesn’t utilise PCI Express 4.0. However, given the performance of these new Radeon cards we don’t think the already fat PCI Express 3.0 bandwidth particularly influences the results in a negative manner.

Overclocking
The AMD launch cards were already very capable offerings in overclocking terms, the importance of creating a good first impression we think, and the extra cooling of the ASUS Direct CU cooler doesn’t push the card much higher, although with better thermals we should see more consistent performance especially in the stock results where the card is overclocking itself. Kinda.
