Gears of War: Ultimate Edition PC Performance Review

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition PC Performance Review

1440p Testing with the Nvidia GTX 980Ti + AMD R9 Fury X

At 1440p we can continue to see that Nvidia’s GTX 980Ti can run this game at the 60FPS framerate cap at almost all times, delivering great performance in this game. On the other hand AMD performance is atrocious, never being able to maintain a solid 60FPS at even low settings.

With the game never having an announced release date I have no idea why Microsoft did not delay this game, nobody would have noticed and the game could have been released at a later date with the AMD performance patch on day 1, instead AMD users have to contend with both graphical issues and performance problems. This game is not something that we would call an Ultimate Edition and Certainly not something that we would call “Remastered”.
