3D Mark Vantage

Both cards start off crunching some huge numbers in 3D Mark Vantage. In Performance trim the GTX590 has a seemingly large lead, but it’s always worth remembering the PhysX component of 3D Mark Vantage always gives the edge to the nVidia hardware.

3D Mark 11

Learning their lesson from the PhysX bias of Vantage, Futuremark released 3D Mark 11 which is nearly wholly shader based. Shaders are something that AMD have worked very hard on with the 6 series Radeons, and the results bear fruit here.
