Clock Speeds
Out of the box the two MSI cards have a decent level of boost potential, but as we know the rated clock speeds are no longer a good reference for your expected speed. The GPU Boost 4.0 technology has completely superceded any manual efforts. Sure you might squeeze a handful of extra MHz from manually fiddling, but you won’t notice half a FPS and why tweak when you can be gaming?
For those of you who like an easy comparison the clock speed graph looks like this. The 3090 Suprim X is close to the other RTX 3090s we’ve reviewed, whilst the average clock speed of the RTX 3080 Suprim X is a little behind some of the better options, but still well in the ballpark.
