Such is the nature of GPUs that the more architecture they have they usually, as a general rule, run slower than ones with less. Similar to how it’s easier to push a quad core CPU way past the boost level of a 16 core model. As you can see the Palit coolers do their job in keeping the boost averaging very highly indeed, which bodes well for them in our performance benchmarks.
