Results Observation

The stock speed GTX260 really struggles to keep pace with the overclocked 4870 in 3DMark 05 & 06, however once the overclock is applied, the GTX260 manages to eek out quite a lead. The story changes completely in Vantage, where the GTX260 takes the lead even at stock, increasing the lead even more once overclocked. The 4850 meanwhile trails the leaders by quite a margin, but for a card costing £50 less, it doesn’t do too badly.
