G.Skill Zeta R5 Review

Up Close

The G.Skill Zeta R5 adheres to our long-held maxim that very high quality components tend to have minimalist packaging. At this end of the market you don’t need to your product to shout from the shop shelf at passing customers.  With four sticks in our review kit the box is both large and in charge.

G.Skill Zeta R5 Packaging

We’re testing primarily with the Intel Xeon w9-3475X today, although we have a couple of w9-3495X results too. The Asrock W790 WS motherboard and our EK waterloop ensure that we’re extracting the maximum from the G.Skill Zeta R5 memory kit.

G.Skill Zeta R5 Test Setup

It’s funny that so much effort has been put into the important bits that the heatspreader is barely there. The Zeta R5 has high quality memory chips and a Registering Clock Driver ensuring that command signals at high memory speeds remain flawless. Vital in mission critical tasks.
