Corsair RM850x White Edition PSU
Corsair RM850x White Edition PSUÂ
There is no hiding the fact that we are fans of White hardware here at OC3D, believing that PC builders deserve variety and that all PCs need not be a standard black box.Â
Now Corsair has released their new RMx series of white power supplies, offering a clean white aesthetic that is similar to the RM1000i Special Edition but with a more consumer-friendly price and production-grade quantities.Â
 Â
Specifications
Corsair’s RMx PSU designs are the same as their higher-end RMi series offerings, with Corsair removing their Corsair Link components to reduce the pricing of their product, taking away the ability of users to monitor the PSU’s load, efficiency and other factors.Â
These new White models offer the same designs as their standard black counterparts, offering the same 80 Gold certification, 100% Japanese 105 -degree capacitors a 0dB low RPM fan mode and Corsair’s long 10-year manufacturer’s warranty. This PSU is fully modular and comes with the same grey-coloured fan as the standard RMx/RMi series CPUs.Â
RMx White series PSUs will come with 750W and 850W versions, which cost £134.99 and £154.99 in the UK respectively, a price increase of £15 and £30 when compared to each PSU’s Black counterpart, though this does not take into consideration the addition of all-white sleeved cables for Corsair’s white Edition models.Â
PSU cable kits typically cost £60 or more, making these new white PSUs excellent value when compared to their all-black counterparts, which do not come with individually sleeved paracord cables. Â
