STALKER 2 PC Performance Review and Optimisation Guide

Memory Performance

Does STALKER 2 benefit from fast PC memory?

We used the same test scene as our CPU benchmarks to test memory performance. Below, we can see that faster memory positively impacts this game’s performance in CPU-limited areas. This may suggest that STALKER 2 may run best on CPUs with AMD’s X3D technology. Sadly, we do not have one of these CPUs for game testing.

DDR5-6000 memory is pretty mainstream these days, at least for new systems. We expect faster DDR5 memory kits to deliver further performance improvements in CPU/memory-limited areas. However, the high cost of faster DDR5 memory kits remains a problem. There’s a reason why DDR5-6000/6400 is considered the price/performance sweet spot.
