Zombie Army 4: Dead Wars PC Performance Review and Optimisation Guide

CPU Testing – Will this Zombie Army kill your CPU?

When it comes to CPU performance, Zombie Army 4: Dead War isn’t going to be a framerate killer. Rebellion has done a great job ensuring that Zombie Army 4 runs well on any modern gaming PC.

When using an Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti at 1080p, we found practically no difference in framerate between when using our Intel i7-6850K processor in all core configurations except for our dual-core quad-thread setup. Even then, Zombie Army 4 ran at over 100 FPS throughout our test runs.

We tested Zombie Army 4: Dead War using actual gameplay, as the game’s integrated benchmark is a lot more demanding than most areas of the actual game. In Zombie Army 4’s benchmark, graphics cards with minimum framerates of 30FPS would barely dip below 60FPS in many sections of the actual game, making the game’s built-in benchmark unrepresentative of in-game performance. That said, if you achieve an average framerate of above 60 FPS in Zombie Army’s benchmark, you will almost never dip below that in-game.
