Low temperatures are the cornerstone of smooth, consistent transfer rates. Running our torture test on such a speedy drive shows that temperatures are definitely a consideration for the 9100 Pro the torture test was not really an issue for the Sabrent PCIE5 Drives with the Phison E26 controller.

However, after some more normal running (which we dont normally test for), temperatures are generally under control as long as you’re not being stupid. What we like most is that the speeds barely varied regardless of how warm it was so thermal throttling was not an issue at all..
