PCSpecialist Zircon Ultra R Review

Up Close

As with all PCSpecialist builds you receive all the bits they didn’t use in the build. So manuals, stickers, extra PSU Cables, case screws et al.

Accessories

If you’ve read any of our system reviews you’ll know we love the Instapak foam packaging system. Every system we’ve ever received has arrived in mint condition thanks to this expanding foam.

PCS are remaining coy about the exact model of case they’ve used for this Zircon Ultra R. It is one of their own branded ones though. Exactly as much case as you need and no more. Probably as affordable as you can build a case whilst ensuring it’s robust. Chiefly, it is robust though. With two big ARGB fans in the front for cooling and flair.

Around the back you can see that whilst the motherboard might be both a B chipset and part of ASUS affordable RUF range, you’re lot left bereft of USB ports.

Rear Panel Connections

This is also the case at the front of the .. ahem.. case. We’ve seen other value cases that refuse to have a front panel Type-C, hence we’re applauding this one loudly. It makes our, and your, life significantly easier.

Inside

Taking off the side panel and you can see how well laid out the Zircon Ultra R is. No matter where you buy in the PCSpecialist range, they always put the effort in to their cable management. Consequently even the bargains punch way above their weight.

To illustrate PCSpecialist‘s commitment to ensuring you feel like you got a bargain, look at these fans. All five are ARGB. You might have noticed at the top and bottom of this page. Certainly if you like a system to shine during use, the Zircon Ultra R has you covered.

Frostflow cooler

There are no guarantees of which card brand you might receive, however they are all close enough these days that you will be pleased with the one you get. Here we’ve the Gigabyte take on the RX 7800 XT.

Eventually you have to turn it on. When you do you will bask in the glow of the five ARGB fans, ARGB DDR5 and FrostFlow 240 pump. Technicolour to the max. You can also have a single colour if you wish.
