MSI GTX 1660 Ti Gaming X and Armor OC Pictured
Today we have MSI’s GTX 1660 Ti Gaming X and GTX 1660 Ti Armor OC Edition, both of which boast a factory overclock and sport dual-fan cooler designs that are similar to their RTX 2060 counterparts. As we have seen before with MSI’s GTX 1660 Ti Ventus XS, the company appears to be using PCB designs that are similar to their RTX 2060 GPU models, allowing them to utilise the same heatsink designs on their GTX 1660 Ti GPUs with little to no modification.
As you can see below, MSI’s Geforce GTX 1660 Ti Gaming features plenty of RGB illumination and utilises an 8-pin PCIe cable for power. The major difference between this cooler and its RTX 2060 counterpart is the lack of Geforce RTX branding on the side of the cooler, which instead says Geforce GTX.

MSI’s Armor series has always been about delivering more affordable everyman GPU designs, lacking the high levels of RGB flash of the Gaming X series while offering perfectly workable cooling solutions which often provide a good balance between thermals, noise levels and aesthetics.
Much like the Gaming X, the Armor sports an 8-pin PCIe power connection and both models appear to provide users with three DisplayPort outputs and a single HDMI 2.0 connection.
