Star Wars Jedi: Survivor recieves its first major PC update

Expect boosted PC performance with Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s first update

– Update – You can now read our PC performance analysis of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor here, which includes before and after testing with patch 3.5.

EA and Respawn Entertainment have just released their first update for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, increasing the game’s CPU performance in “non-raytraced rendering”.

While we cannot comment on the performance impact of this update (yet), it should help to address one of the main problems with Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s PC version, as before this update we have experienced hugely CPU-limited performance on PC, even with top of the line CPUs like Intel’s i9-13900K.

At 1080p Low settings with ray tracing disabled, our i9-13900K based test system could see framerates dips below 60 FPS, and if that is what Intel’s top gaming CPU runs like, you can imagine the framerate issues that users of older, or lower-end CPUs face. Hopefully this update will mitigate these performance issues, though we are yet to confirm this with dedicated testing. Expect an article from us later today that will look into the performance impact of this update.

EA has confirmed that the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 versions of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will receive their first updates tomorrow on April 2nd. Further updates for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor are planned, which aim to further boost the game’s performance and fix bugs on all platforms.
