Phanteks will be providing free AM4 upgrade kits for their CPU coolers
AMD’s AM4 platform and Ryzen CPUs are coming, but sadly not all existing AMD (AM2/3 and FM2) compatible CPU coolers can be mounted onto AMD’s new CPU socket.
Thankfully most major cooler manufacturers are providing their users with free mounting kit upgrades to support this new CPU platform, with Phanteks now taking requests for these new upgrade kits through their customer support web page.
All that owners of Phanteks CPU coolers will need to do is provide Phanteks support with proof of purchase for their CPU cooler and evidence that they have purchased a new AMD CPU or motherboard. Phanteks has also announced that all of their future CPU cooler design will come with native support for AMD’s AM4 socket.
