AMD’s Ryzen 2nd Generation is rumoured to be in Q1-Q2 2018
AMD Ryzen 2nd Generation is expected to be a 12nm refresh of Ryzen, which means that it is not supposed to use AMD’s Zen 2/ architecture. These new processors are expected to offer some modest architectural improvements over Ryzen, though at this time it is unknown precisely what improvements AMD will deliver here.
AMD is expected to release new 400-series chipsets at the start of 2018, with Pinnacle Ridge being expected to offer modest clock speed improvements over Ryzen and a more powerful memory controller. This new series of processors should allow AMD to offer more performance per core and support faster DDR4 memory.
