AMD confirms that their first ‘Zen 3 Client processor’ is ‘on-track’ to release this year

AMD has just released its Ryzen 4000 G-Series processors onto the OEM desktop market, but that won’t be the end of AMD’s ambitions with Ryzen in 2020.

In a new blog post, AMD’s Rick Bergman, the company’s Executive Vice President of Computing & Graphics, confirmed that the company would have more to share about its “high-performance journey” later this year. Furthermore, Bergman revealing that the company plans to launch its ‘first “Zen 3″ Client processor” in 2020.

The key word within this announcement is ‘client’, a word which is specific to the consumer PC market. By saying ‘client’, AMD means Ryzen. Below is what AMD had to say about their upcoming processors.

So, what’s next for AMD in the PC space? Well, I cannot share too much, but I can say our high-performance journey continues with our first “Zen 3” Client processor on-track to launch later this year. I will wrap by saying you haven’t seen the best of us yet…
