Want to buy every game on Steam? Here’s how much that will cost

Have you ever wondered how much it would cost to buy every game on Steam? How much money would it cost to have access to seemingly every PC game imaginable? Now we know, thanks to the GitHub user Chenggang Wang (cwang22) who has created a tool to add up the prices of all games on the platform.

Below you can see a chart which showcases how much it costs to purchase every game on Steam, and how this value had changed over time. Pricing charts for sale and non-sale pricing are both available, highlighting the impact of Steam’s summer sale and other similar events.

For example, Steam’s last summer sale decreased the cost of all games on the platform from over $517K to a little over $333K. This drop in all game pricing represents a discount of over 35% across the entire Steam storefront. That’s a saving of over $180,000.

As of today, the value of all games on Steam sits at $536,568.08, excluding discounts. When discounts are included, accessing every game on Steam will cost $523,940.86.

Chenggang Wang has clarified that this number includes all game DLC on Steam and other content on the platform. This includes digital soundtracks and other pieces of digital content, such as art books and other non-gaming addons. One can only imagine how much storage space all of this content would occupy.
