343 Industries has confirmed that Halo 4’s PC version will feature more graphical settings than the other games within The Master Chief Collection. This change will give PC gamers tweakable, independent options for lighting quality, shadow quality, effects quality, details quality, and anisotropic filtering.

Within each of these new settings, players will be able to select Standard, Performance and Enhanced settings, as well as the ability to enable to disable Anti-Aliasing. Halo: The Master Chief Collection will also gain graphical options which can be tweaked on a per-game basis.

In the future, these extended graphics options will be made available to all games within Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Below is a screenshot of what this menu looks like within the current pre-release build of Halo 4.

Halo 4’s pre-release flight has been extended to Friday, November 6th. This means that Halo 4 will release on PC on mid-November at the earliest. 343 Industries are currently finalising Halo 4’s launch build, a build which will also include improvements for other games in the Master Chief Collection.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection’s next patch should feature improved interpolation within Halo Reach, enabling support for higher framerates without major animation issues. This change will arrive as part of Halo Reach’s 120Hz update for Xbox Series X/S.

Moving forward, Halo: The Master Chief Collection will continue to be updated on PC to enable new features and add new improvements to the collection.
