Zotac Zone Specifications Leak ahead of Computex

Zotac’s Zone handheld appears to be powered by AMD’s Ryzen 7 8840U CPU

Thanks to Videocardz, the specifications for the upcoming Zotac Zone handheld have leaked onto the web. This PC gaming handheld will be powered by AMD’s Ryzen 7 8840U processor, an 8-core Zen 4 processor with Radeon 780M graphics.

This CPU is the newest iteration of AMD’s Hawk Point silicon. It is similar to the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor used by other PC gaming handhelds, but it features an AMD Ryzen AI Engine that can deliver 16 TOPS of AI performance.

As previously revealed, this handheld will feature a 7-inch high refresh rate AMOLED display. Today’s leak stated that this screen is capable of up to 800 nits of brightness, is HDR compatible, and supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The device will feature 16GB of LPDDR5X memory, and support M.2 2280 SSDs.

By default, the Zotac Zone will feature 512GB of PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD storage. It will also feature 2-stage triggers, hall effect joysticks and triggers, and utilise Windows 11 as its OS.

The Zone will have a 48.5Wh battery, with Zotac estimating a 1.25 hour battery life for the device. This makes battery life a weak point for this handheld.
