QNAP pushes 10GbE with their new TS-432X and TS-632X Tower NAS solutions

QNAP pushes to deliver value and performance with their 10GbE TS-432X and TS-632X Tower NAS devices

At OC3D, we love fast networking solutions, but having a fast home or office network is useless unless your devices can make use of their speeds. Today, QNAP has released two new entry-level business NAS models that offer 10GbE connectivity. On top of that, these two models feature PCIe expansion capabilities and powerful quad-core processors.

These two new NAS models are the S-432X and TS-632X. These new tower NAS devices support four and six drives respectively. The 4-bay model supports one 10GbE connection, while the other supports two. Both models feature an AnnapurnaLabs (an Amazon company) Alpine AL524 quad-core 2.00 GHz processor, and 4GB of non-ECC RAM out of the box. However, these NAS solutions support up to 16GB of ECC RAM if users want to upgrade them.

With a single PCIe 3.0 x4 slot, these NAS solutions can be upgraded with PCIe expansions cards. Users can add more 2.5Gb, 5Gb, or 10Gb ethernet ports to these NAS solutions, or add M.2 SSD storage for increased I/O potential.

With 10GbE connectivity, these NAS devices can deliver much faster connectivity speeds than standard NAS devices. This is great news for anyone who needs to transfer their data quickly, or work using data directly from their NAS storage solution. For business users, 10GbE support also allows multiple users to utilise the data on these NAS devices with greater ease. After all, 10GbE offers users more available networking bandwidth per user.

More information about QNAP’s new TS-432X and TS-632X Tower NAS devices is available on QNAP’s website.
