ASUS unveils its 6K ProArt PA32QCV Professional Monitor
ASUS’ newest ProArt display offers users 6K resolution support, giving them 45% more workspace than a 4K monitor
4K monitors may be a common screen resolution today, but some users benefit from additional screen real estate. ASUS has just unveiled its new ProArt 6K PA32QCV monitor, offering users a resolution of 6016×3384 and strong colour accuracy. With this screen, users can edit 4K images and video at their full size and still have screen space for their editing tools.
This screen is an IPS monitor that is Calman Verified with a Delta E < 2 colour accuracy. The screen also supports 98% of the DCI-P3 colour space, and has a new “M Model-P3” Colour preset that matches the colour performance of MacBook displays. This makes this pro-grade monitor ideal for both Windows PC and Mac users.
With a max refresh rate of 60Hz, this monitor is not for gamers. It is for designers, photographers, Filmmakers, video editors, and colourists. The screen supports HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4 (with DSC), and Thunderbolt 4. The screen supports HDR with a DisplayHDR 600 certification. Note that this is an IPS monitor, not an OLED screen.

With an asking price of $1299, ASUS’ ProArt PA32QCV is an incredibly expensive display. That said, this monitor is clearly built for work, and if you need a monitor of this level, you (or your company) would likely be able to afford such an expense.
For now, 4K monitors will remain the norm for high-end gamers. The benefits of higher resolutions are small compared to the benefits of higher refresh rates. Furthermore, games are already challenging enough to run at 4K, let alone 6K.
