Nvidia refutes RTX 50 Founders Edition GPU discontinuation rumours
Most of Nvidia’s RTX 50 Founders Edition GPUs are out of stock, but they aren’t End of Life (EOL)
In a new statement, Nvidia has refuted recent rumours that the company has “discontinued” its RTX 50 Founders Edition (FE) graphics cards. Right now, Nvidia’s RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 Founders Edition GPUs are out of Stock on Nvidia’s website. This led to rumours circulating that these GPUs are now “discontinued” or have reached “end of life” status.
Nvidia has confirmed that its RTX 50 FE GPUs remain in production. However, the company also claimed that these GPUs are “limited edition” products and will occasionally go out of stock.
Since Nvidia’s Founders Edition GPUs are guaranteed to be available at Nvidia’s MSRP price on their website, it is unsurprising that these GPUs are regularly out of stock. Even now, it is rare to find an RTX 5090 GPU available at Nvidia’s MSRP price of £ 1,799.99. With this in mind, it’s no surprise that Nvidia’s Founders Edition model is currently out of stock.
GeForce RTX 50 series Founders Editions continue to be in production. They are limited edition products so, from time to time, go out of stock on our website and return when back in stock.

(Most Nvidia RTX 50 FE GPUs are out of stock)
Given Nvidia’s statement, gamers should expect Nvidia’s Founders Edition GPUs to be back in stock soon. That said, given the RTX 5090 FE’s lower-than-average pricing, it is likely to be out of stock soon after its return to Nvidia’s website.
