UK pricing revealed for ASUS’ ROG Xbox Ally handhelds

Currys confirms ROG Xbox Ally UK pricing

The UK retailer Currys has sent an email to customers confirming the UK pricing of ASUS’ ROG Xbox Ally systems. According to the email, the ROG Xbox Ally will cost £499, and its higher-end counterpart, the ROG Xbox Ally X, will cost £799.

For its higher price tag, the ROG Xbox Ally X will feature a higher-end processor, the AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme, more/faster memory (24GB LPDDR5X-8000 VS 16GB LPDDR5-6000), and more SSD storage (1TB VS 512GB). The Xbox Ally X will also feature USB4 connectivity and a larger battery (80Wh vs 60Wh). Both models support WIFI 6E and feature 1080p 120Hz IPS screens. These screens feature a Cornng DXC Anti-Reflection coating.

ASUS’ ROG Xbox Ally systems will be the first to offer gamers the “Xbox Full Screen Experience“. This feature promises to free up additional computational and memory resources for games, enabling a stronger gaming experience than traditional Windows-powered gaming handhelds. They also benefit from recent updates to the Xbox PC App, which now supports games from Steam and other PC gaming storefronts.
