Fortnite and Roblox taken down by Amazon Web Services outage

Amazon Web Services issues have taken down two of the world’s biggest games

Amazon Web Services has experienced a major outage, taking down countless websites and online services. Now, we can confirm that both Fortnite and Roblox have been impacted by these issues, preventing games from accessing these massive multiplayer games.

Outages for both games started at 8 am this morning, with Downdetector seeing a spike in outage reports. Gamers are reporting issues logging into these games. Some users are reporting infinite loading screens and other problems. The Epic Games Store has also been taken down due to these issues. However, the website has recently began functioning again.

Currently, it is unclear when Fortnite, Roblox, and other affected games and services will be restored. Amazon has reportedly uncovered the root cause of their server issues. However, it remains unclear how long this issue will take to fix.

For now, many of the world’s most popular online services are down. Ring doorbells are not functioning, some banks are having issues, and even apps like Zoom and Wordle are reportedly having problems. Hopefully Amazon will address these issues soon.
