Stardock extends Ashes of the Singularity II demo period after Steam Next Fest success
Ashes of the Singularity 2’s PC demo has been extended until March 16th
Stardock and Oxide Games’ Ashes of the Singularity II demo was one of the most-played demos from Steam Next Fest, and to celebrate, the demo’s availability has been extended until March 16th. Originally, this demo was intended to be available only until March 2nd, but it has proven popular enough to have its demo period extended.
This free Steam Next Fest demo includes two playable factions, skirmish mode (against the AI), and full multiplayer support. Three maps are available across arctic and desert environments, and matches can support up to 8 players. It even supports Valve’s Steam Deck handheld with “full native controls”.
Unlike traditional RTS games, Ashes of the Singularity 2 focuses on large armies and strategy, not fast clicking and hotkey mashing. This demo will allow players to control the United Earth Forces and the Post-Human Coalition. This will give gamers a taste of what’s to come with this new RTS. Sadly, no single-player content is included with this demo. However, the final game will feature a full single-player campaign.
Ashes of the Singularity II’s upcoming demo will give gamers a glimpse of what the full game has in store. The full game is due to be released sometime this year. Gamers will be able to control thousands of units across continent-sized maps, bringing RTS combat to a colossal scale.
What’s in the Demo
Two fully playable factions. The United Earth Forces bring numbers, durability, and relentless ground power. The Post-Human Coalition abandoned flesh for advanced tech, fielding smaller armies that hit harder and cost more. They play completely differently.
Multiplayer for up to 8 players. Full PvP, co-op against AI, or solo skirmish. Can’t fill a lobby? Add AI opponents to any open slot.
Three maps across two environments. Arctic tundra and desert wastelands, day and night. Small (2-4 players), Medium (2-6), and Large (2-8). All available immediately with zero unlocks.
Thousands of units, one strategy. Pull back to orbit to read the full battlefield, then zoom down to the front line to direct an assault. Ashes II rewards planning over click speed. The best strategy wins, not the fastest hands.
Steam Deck compatible. Full native controls.
