22-core Intel Nova Lake CPU Leaks with BIG “bLLC” cache
Intel reportedly plans to release new 22-core bLLC-enhanced Nova Lake desktop CPUs
According to the leaker Jaykihn, Intel is preparing two new Core Ultra 400-series Nova Lake-S desktop CPUs with 22 cores. These CPUs will feature six P-cores, twelve E-cores, and four LP-E-Cores and will feature Intel’s “bLLC” tech.
What is bLLC?
bLLC is Intel’s answer to AMD’s X3D CPUs. bLLC stands for Big Last-Level Cache. Earlier leaks have suggested that Intel’s Nova Lake bLLC CPU compute tiles will feature up to 144 MB of L3 cache. That’s more cache than what’s available on AMD’s current-generation X3D CPU CCD chiplets, which have 96MB of total L3 cache.
Jaykihn’s leak suggests that Intel has a Core Ultra 5 series CPU with 22 cores, bLLC cache, and a TDP of 125W. It is currently unknown how much cache this CPU will have, as Intel may not maximise its cache sizes with this SKU. A 65W version of this CPU is also reportedly in development.

Intel’s Nova Lake CPU lineup will be big and varied
With Nova Lake, Intel will release a wide variety of CPU models. This will include models with and without Intel’s “bLLC” cache, and both single and dual compute tile models. With one compute tile, Intel will be able to release CPUs with up to 28 or 52 cores. Note that both designs have I/O chiplets with four LP-E-Cores. Each compute chiplet has up to 24 cores (8 P-cores and 16 E-cores).
Intel’s Nova Lake CPU lineup will span the mainstream CPU market and HEDT CPU market. These CPUs will also reportedly support faster DDR5 memory than today’s Arrow Lake series CPUs, giving them access to more bandwidth.
