DLSS 5 is coming to Hogwarts Legacy today

3D-Guided Neural Rendering is coming to Hogwarts Legacy later today

DLSS 5 with 3D-Guided Neural Rendering is coming to Hogwarts Legacy on PC, giving users of GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs and RTX Spark PCs a graphical boost. This new graphical feature is also available on Nvidia’s GeForce Now Ultimate game streaming service.

With the game’s new “Neural Rendering” option, Hogwarts Legacy now features improved environmental/shadow detail, shading, lighting, and reflections. Avalanche Software worked with Nvidia to ensure DLSS 5’s output matched the studio’s artistic vision for Hogwarts Legacy, delivering improved visuals while retaining the game’s overall aesthetic.

The team at Avalanche Software worked closely with NVIDIA to add DLSS 5 Neural Rendering technology into Hogwarts Legacy for PC to ensure the best visual results while maintaining our artistic intent.

This allowed us to iterate and tune environments, tone and skin structural parameters in a manner that keeps the game true to the original vision. We’re excited for players to jump back into the game and experience it in a new way.

– Jose Villeta, Director of Software Engineering at Avalanche Software

With DLSS 5, Nvidia has showcased the game running at over 300 FPS with DLSS 5 enabled on an RTX 5090 at 4K (see the trailer above). This was with both DLSS 5 Neural Rendering and ray tracing enabled. However, it also used DLSS Super Resolution in Performance Mode and DLSS Multi Frame Generation at 6x. Below, Nvidia also claims that the game runs at over 200 FPS at 4K with an RTX 5080 using the same in-game settings.

Hogwarts Legacy already supports Nvidia’s other DLSS technologies, including DLSS Super Resolution, Multi Frame Generation, and Ray Reconstruction. Expect DLSS 5 Neural Rendering to arrive later today with Hogwarts Legacy’s newest update.
