Samsung SSDs get Microsoft’s Stamp of Approval

ssd
Samsung has announced that their 1.8″ Solid State Drives, or SSDs, have been recently been fully certified to run the Windows environment by Microsoft. With an average data read speed of 57 MB/s and data write speed of 32MB/s, these drives provide more than double the performance of typical 1.8″ hard drives. Also, due to their lack of moving parts and low power consumption, these drives give greater reliability while giving your laptop increased battery life. Microsoft certified a 32 GB 1.8″ SSD, a 32 GB slim-type SSD, and a 16 GB small-type SSD, small enough to support the physical requirements of sub-notebooks.
