MSI’s MEG Maestro 900R is a stunning PC case
It looks like MSI is finally ready to launch its MEG Maestro 900R PC case
We visited MSI’s booth at CES 2026 and were once again impressed by the MSI Meastro series. We’ve been a fan of the series since the 2024 Maestro 700L PZ (review here, build here), and we’ve been following the development of the Maestro 900 with interest. The case has been redesigned and renamed the MEG Maestro 900R, and it appears ready to launch.

Smaller case, Bigger feature set
Since we last saw the Meastro 900 (then the Meastro 900 PZ) at Computex 2025, MSI has redesigned the case to make it smaller and more compact. Last time, the case was large enough to accommodate four 120mm fans at the bottom and four 120mm fans at each side of the motherboard tray. The new Maestro 900R has space for three fans in each location.
Overall, the Maestro 900R is still a large case with EATX motherboard support, but it’s no longer a colossus. Honestly, this is probably a good thing, as the original design was perhaps too large for most would-be users. Regardless, this is still a chonky case with its 400mm GPU support.
New features
The Meastro 900R retains the removable motherboard tray of its predecessor. This motherboard tray can be used as a test bench, allowing users to test their hardware without integrating it into the case. The test bench/motherboard tray can also be installed in four orientations, depending on user preference.
The Maestro 900R will ship with a vertical GPU mount pre-installed and with a PCIe Gen 5 riser card within its accessories box. MSI knows that users of this case will want a vertically mounted graphics card, so they have supplied the parts needed to make this happen.
At CES 2026, MSI showcased the Maestro 900R with its RTX 5090 Lightning Z graphics card inside. This was alongside a new 360mm CPU liquid-cooling solution. This highlights the case’s support for multiple 360mm liquid-cooling radiators and high-end hardware.
When we asked about pricing, we were told that the case would likely cost $699.99. That said, the final pricing for the case may change.
