AMD brings its X3D tech to laptops with “Fire Range”

AMD reveals their Ryzen 9 9955HX3D CPU, bringing 16-cores and X3D to mobile platforms

Alongside their Ryzen 9 9950X3D and Ryzen 9 9900X3D, AMD has revealed their new “Fire Range” Ryzen 9 9955HX3D CPU. This new processor brings AMD’s Zen 5 CPU cores and the benefits of their X3D 3D V-Cache technology to mobile platforms.

Like their Ryzen 9 X3D desktop CPUs, AMD’s new Ryzen 9 9955HX3D CPU is a great CPU option for gamers and creators. With 16 cores and 144 MB of total cache, this CPU is a complete Ryzen 9 9950X3D CPU that has been rebuilt for mobile platforms.

Alongside their flagship X3D product, AMD has their Ryzen 9 9955HX and their Ryzen 9 9850HX. These models are specifically for creators, offering users high core counts and high core clock speeds.

AMD has built Fire Range for high-end enthusiast-grade laptops that use discrete graphics. This makes these CPUs great for both gaming PCs and mobile workstations. With up to sixteen cores, these CPUs can rip through multi-threaded workloads. If you opt for the X3D model, it will also deliver top-class gaming performance.
