AMD plans to live stream their Computex Press Conference on June 5th

AMD has confirmed their plans to livestream their Computex 2018 press conference on YouTube, an event which will take place on June 5th at 9 PM CT. Sadly, this event will be held at 3 AM UK time on June 6th in UK time, an uncomfortable time for most UK watchers.

At Computex, AMD is expected to release their B450 chipset for Ryzen 2nd Generation processors alongside new Ryzen 5 and 3 SKUs, potentially updating their fans on their progress with Threadripper Second Generation and their plans for the mobile market. At this time it is unknown whether or not AMD has anything new planned on the Radeon side.

AMD has previously revealed a Vega Mobile, a chip that was showcased at CES 2018 with what appeared to be a single HBM2 memory ship. At this time not much is known about this new mobile-oriented Vega chip, aside from the fact that AMD advertised it as low power and VR ready. It is possible that Vega mobile will be showcased at Computex as part of AMD’s mobile push.
