AMD reportedly plans price decrease for its Ryzen 3000 series with XT launch
In the case of AMD’s Ryzen 3950X, Videocardz reports that a $50 price cut is planned, with the Ryzen 9 3900X receiving a similar price cut of $50. AMD’s Ryzen 7 3800X and Ryzen 5 3600X will also receive MSRP reductions of $40 and $25 respectively, cut which will help keep Ryzen on the minds of value-conscious PC builders.Â
MSI has also leaked clock speeds and TDP values for AMD’s new Ryzen 3000XT series processors, revealing that their CPU base clock speeds are the same as AMD’s existing non-XT models. This could be an error, or it could be a confirmation that AMD’s new XT models are less powerful than some have expected. AMD will clarify this in time. Â
Videocardz has reported that AMD’s Matisse Refresh processors will be revealed in the coming days and launch on July 7th.Â
