AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D pricing dips to an all-time low in the UK

AMD’s Ryzen 7 9850X3D pricing has dipped, and it comes with Crimson Desert

AMD’s Ryzen 7 9850X3D launched last month for £449.99 in the UK, and now the CPU is available at a much lower price, with Crimson Desert included. Overclockers UK is now selling AMD’s Ryzen 7 9850X3D with a free £54.99 game and a significant discount. Not bad for AMD’s fastest gaming CPU.

Today, AMD’s Ryzen 7 9850X3D is available for £410.99. This is a discount of around 9.5% from AMD’s day-1 price. This significantly narrows the price gap between AMD’s Ryzen 7 9800X3D and Ryzen 7 9850X3D. This greatly increases the value proposition of AMD’s boosted X3D gaming CPU. Add on AMD’s free Crimson Desert game code, and AMD has greatly boosted the gaming value of its newest X3D CPU.

The fact that AMD’s new Ryzen 7 9850X3D has already seen a significant price decrease should highlight how challenging today’s DIY PC building market is for manufacturers. High memory pricing has made PC building/upgrading unappealing, and that is impacting sales across the PC market. With DDR5 memory prices 4x higher than last year’s, it is easy to see why PC enthusiasts aren’t, well, enthusiastic about today’s PC market.

This discount also comes at a time when competition is growing. While Intel’s new Core Ultra 200S PLUS series CPUs aren’t challenging AMD for gaming supremacy, they promise increased value and much higher levels of multi-threaded game performance for your money. While AMD is the undisputed gaming king, gamers pay a large premium for the privilege.
