AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D release and review dates leak
AMD improved Ryzen 7 9850X3D Gaming CPU is launching this month
According to leaked AMD documents, the company’s upcoming Ryzen 7 9850X3D gaming CPU will be released later this month. Ryzen 7 9850X3D reviews will reportedly be released on January 28th, with the CPU having a release date of January 29th.
If this document leak is correct, no preorders for AMD’s new CPU will be available ahead of launch. This is common practice for new PC components. AMD’s review embargo date also allows potential customers to read several reviews ahead of the processor’s release.

AMD’s Ryzen 7 9850X3D is a faster version of AMD’s Ryzen 7 9800X3D. It features a boost clock that is 400 MHz higher than its predecessor, giving it a performance advantage. While this only gives AMD’s CPU a minor boost in most games, it does give AMD’s top gaming CPU a boost. This will make AM5 a more attractive upgrade platform for gamers and further cement AMD’s gaming leadership.
Note that games like Baldur’s Gate 3 and Counter-Strike 2 appear to benefit most from AMD’s 9850X3D upgrade.
