AMD ups Ryzen’s gaming value with up to two free games and Xbox Game Pass
Even with their generational gains to performance, AMD’s latest processors are unable to dominate their competitors in the gaming space. Even so, they remain so close that their advantages in other areas will force productivity-focused users to lean towards AMD/Zen’s higher thread counts and multi-threaded performance in many workloads. Â
Today, AMD has launched its “Equipped to Win” gaming bundle, offering up to two free games and 3 months of Xbox Game Pass with new Ryzen 5, 7 and 9 processors from both their 2000 series and 3000 series lineups. More games are offered with AMD’s higher cost SKUs, with the Ryzen 9 3950X and Ryzen 9 3800X coming with two games and three months of Xbox Game Pass.Â
The two games that make up AMD’s “Equipped to Win” bundle include Obsidian’s The Outer Worlds and Gearbox’ Borderlands 3. Three months of Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass for PC is also included with selected processors.Â
AMD’s “Equipped to Win” offer will be available via participating retailers from September 30th until December 31st (2019) while AMD’s Xbox Game Pass offer will be available until March 10th 2020. The infographic below explains what will be available to purchasers of new Radeon graphics cards.Â
