AMD’s 16-core Ryzen 9 3950X Processor Leaks

AMD’s “Next Horizon Gaming” event starts tomorrow, acting as one of PC gaming’s premier E3 showcases. Don’t expect AMD to showcase a large number of gaming titles, but expect them to deliver a glimpse at what both PC and console gaming will look like on a hardware level.

With Ryzen processors and Radeon graphics powering the next generation of consoles, it seems clear that AMD is the hardware vendor to watch at E3 2019, as their technology will define the next PlayStation and Xbox consoles, with Zen 2 and Navi having already been confirmed as part of Sony’s next-generation consoles.

Today, one of AMD’s big E3 product announcements has leaked, revealing to the world the “world’s first 16-core gaming processor”, the Ryzen 9 3950X. This processor is said to have CPU core clock speeds that boost as high as 4.7GHz and a TDP of 105W, marking a huge uptick in both performance and power efficiency over AMD’s last-generation product offerings.

Below are the specifications of AMD’s Ryzen 3rd Generation product lineup, including AMD’s leaked Ryzen 9 3950X.
