AMD’s next-generation Ryzen 9000 series CPUs will reportedly cost the same as last-gen
AMD are reportedly keeping their CPU pricing steady with their Ryzen 9000 series launch
Rumour has it that AMD plans to reveal their next-generation Ryzen 9000 series CPUs at Computex 2024. Now, details about these processors are leaking onto the web, and rumour has it that AMD will not be next-generation CPUs with higher prices than their predecessors. If this is true, Zen 5 should represent a huge increase in value for money for PC users.
With their Zen 5 desktop CPU lineup, AMD will not be offering PC builders more cores or threads. AMD’s performance gains with Zen 5 will come from architectural enhancements. Additionally, AMD can boost their CPU performance with clock speed increases. This means that Zen 5 should deliver notable increases to the single-threaded performance of AMD’s Ryzen CPU lineup. Remember, if AMD can’t add more cores with Ryzen 9000, they need to make their individual cores faster.
@wxnod on Twitter/X has claimed that AMD will launch their Ryzen 9000 series CPUs with the same MSRP pricing as their Zen 4 counterparts.
