AMD’s fastest gaming CPU is now available in the UK

AMD’s Ryzen 7 9850X3D CPU is now available in the UK. The 9850X3D is AMD’s new gaming flagship, featuring higher clock speeds than its predecessor, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D. In the UK, all major retailers have priced this processor at £449.99.

Today, AMD’s high-end X3D lineup comprises three CPU models. At the lower end, we have AMD’s last-generation gaming flagship, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D. Next, we have the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, available for as little as £399.99 on Amazon UK. While the Ryzen 7 9850X3D is faster, it’s up to 12.5% more expensive than the 9800X3D. Whether or not this CPU’s faster clock speeds are worth it is up to consumers.

Amazon UK Scan UK Overclockers UK
AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D £449.99 £449.99 £449.99
AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D £399.99 £409.99 £419.99
AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D £349.99 £349.99 £364.99

For budget-focused gamers, AMD’s Ryzen 7 7800X3D is a CPU of great interest. It costs up to £100 less than a Ryzen 7 9850X3D and still delivers great performance. That said, AMD’s new Zen 5 architecture and boosted clock speeds make AMD’s Ryzen 9000 X3D CPUs stronger performers. Regardless, the 7800X3D’ singificant cost savings make it a solid offering in today’s market.
