ASUS unleashes their Crosshair VI Extreme AM4 motherboard

Up until now ASUS’ Crosshair VI Hero has been one of the world’s top tier AM4 (X370) series motherboards, achieving several overclocking records and delivering a highly robust design which has received frequent BIOS enhancements over time.

ASUS has now created something even grander to sit on top as their new AM4 flagship, the Crosshair VI Extreme, which comes with a larger overall mainboard design and offers several additional features like built-in WiFi and offers full compatibility with a custom designed Bitspower monoblock to offer full loop integration with temperature and flow rate monitoring as well as advanced leak detection features.

This monoblock will be available separately after purchase, offering a unique water cooling experience.

Performance and overclocking are inextricably tied to cooling, so we’re constantly looking for ways to improve thermal management. For a high-end board like the Extreme, that means supplying everything needed for sophisticated liquid loops, starting with a special header for monitoring monoblock temperatures, flow rates, and leak detection circuits. We’ve already partnered with the experts at Bitspower to produce a monoblock made specifically for the Extreme that will be sold separately from the motherboard.
