Gigabyte confirms that Rocket Lake is coming in March – Z490 to support 11th Gen CPUs and PCIe 4.0
Gigabyte designed its Z490 with PCIe 4.0 in mind from their early design phases, allowing these motherboards to support PCIe 4.0 components with their latest BIOS files and compatible Intel processors. This will finally allow Intel desktop platforms to benefit from PCIe 4.0 connectivity, a feature that has been exclusive to AMD hardware since the release of the Ryzen 3000 series in 2019.Â
