Gigabyte quickly addresses Z790 BETA BIOS issues with new release
Gigabyte launches new Z790/Z760 BETA BIOS versions to address BIOS freezing issues
Earlier this week, it was reported that a beta Gigabyte BIOS update was causing issues with Z790 motherboard users. Specifically, this BIOS update contained a bug that could cause a user’s BIOS to freeze unexpectedly. This forced users to restart their systems, and made the modification of BIOS settings challenging.
Now, Gigabyte has addressed these concerns with a new BIOS update. This new update is now available to download for Gigabyte Z790 and B760 motherboard owners. This new BIOS update supports Intel’s i9-14900KS CPU and Intel’s APO technology. Intel Application Optimisation was recently updated to support 14th, 13th, and 12th generation Intel CPUs.
Gigabyte has not released their new beta BIOS on Intel Z690 series motherboards. This means that these older motherboards do not support Intel’s i9-14900KS CPU or APO. Let’s hope that these features come to Intel/Gigabyte Z690 motherboards soon.
With this new update, Gigabyte users can now safely update their motherboard’s BIOS without fear of system lockups or freezing. Let’s hope that this kind of issue never happens again.
