Rumours have been circulating about Intel’s upcoming 9th generation of desktop processors for quite some time, with tales of eight-core Coffee Lake processors predating the release of both six-core Coffee Lake and Z370.

Coolaler has released a detailed list of specifications for Intel’s 9000 series of processors, revealing the company’s first i9-class product for a mainstream consumer socket.

This leak has detailed three of Intel’s incoming unlocked/K-series processors, the eight-core, sixteen-thread i9 8900K, the eight-core, eight-thread i7-9700K and the six-core, six thread i5-9600K. When compared to today’s 8000-series Coffee Lake processors the i5-9600K has higher clock speeds than its predecessor, the i7-9700K has two additional cores and loses hyperthreading, and the i9 9900K now sits at the top of the lineup with eight cores and sixteen threads.

Strangely, Intel’s new processor lineup is missing an i7/9 9800K product, though it is possible that this gap in the lineup is reserved for a locked/lower clocked version of the i9 9900K, perhaps called the i9-9800.

Intel has already revealed a lot of information about their upcoming 9th generation processor lineup, with Intel listing their i5-9600K with a boost clock speed of 4.5GHz, not 4.6GHz as listed below. This could be a typo on Coolaler’s part, or perhaps a sign that these specifications are illegitimate.

Intel is expected to release their next-generation of desktop processors within the next few months, offering eight-core processors on a mainstream socket for the first time, taking on AMD’s Ryzen lineup with higher single-core clock speeds.
