Intel Core Ultra 200 “Arrow Lake” CPUs hit pricing lows on Black Friday

Intel’s Core Ultra 200 series CPU prices have almost halved since launch

Intel’s Core Ultra 200 series “Arrow Lake” CPU pricing has plummeted since launch. For Amazon’s Black Friday sale, Intel’s latest CPUs have seen their pricing hit lows. Now, some of Intel’s CPU models are selling for almost half the price they were at launch. That’s how unpopular Intel’s newest CPUs are…

Intel’s Core Ultra 7 265K was launched in the UK at £379.99 (evidence). Today, the same CPU can be purchased for £224. That’s a discount of over 40% compared with day-1 pricing.

For Intel’s Core Ultra 5 245K, pricing has almost halved from its launch-day price of £289.99 to £150.32. This makes Intel’s new Ultra 5 a solid option for budget-focused PCs, especially when used with an affordable 800-series motherboard.

Why is the Core Ultra 200 series now so cheap?

The unfortunate aspect of Intel’s Core Ultra 200 series “Arrow Lake” CPUs is that they fail to deliver the performance gains consumers expect from Intel. In fact, they often perform worse than their last-gen counterparts, especially in games. While lower pricing does make these new CPUs more attractive, it is clear that Intel Arrow Lake CPUs needed to lower their prices to secure sales. Simply put, you don’t offer discounts this deep unless you have to.

If Intel can address the issues facing Arrow Lake with its next-gen CPUs, its fortunes are likely to change. Regardless, it remains to be seen how Intel’s next-gen CPUs will perform. Furthermore, we know that these CPUs will likely have a new AMD Ryzen lineup to compete with.
