Intel’s “Avengers Edition” processors will not include copies of Marvel’s Avengers

Last week, Intel revealed its “Avengers Edition” 10th Generation Core processors, which feature unique artwork based on Marvel’s Avengers from Tristan Eaton, a world-class public artist.

Now, thanks to @Momomo_us on Twitter, it has been confirmed that these special edition processors will not include a free copy of Marvel’s Avengers on PC, despite the obvious marketing tie-in.

What’s different about these collectors edition processors? Nothing. Outside of the packaging, there is nothing that separates these Avengers series processors from their standard 10th Generation peers.

Last year, Intel confirmed that they were Square Enix’s official PC hardware partner for Marvel’s Avengers, and the company wants to take advantage of that position by releasing limited edition Avengers Edition processors. These processors convey a simple message, that Intel processors are designed to run Marvel’s Avengers at its best. Whether or not this is true is yet to be confirmed.

Earlier this month leaked retail listings from @momomo_us confirmed that Intel plans to release at least four “Avengers Edition” processors, Avengers-class K-series CPUs for their i5, i7 and i9 lineups. These processors are Intel’s i5-10600K, the i7-10700K, the i9-10850K and the i9-10900K Avengers Edition processors. As mentioned previously, these processors are identical to their non-Avengers counterparts.

So what do Intel users get outside of a fancy box. Nothing. If you look closely at the picture above you will see the words “Game Not Included”, giving users nothing more than a fancy box to sit on your shelf.
