MSI launches its MEG X870E GODLIKE X Edition motherboard
MSI celebrates 10 years of GODLIKE performance with its MEG X870E GODLIKE X Edition motherboard
MSI has just launched their new MEG X870E GODLIKE X Edition motherboard, a new AM5 flagship motherboard that’s limited to 1000 units. This motherboard is both a high-end motherboard and a collector’s item, boasting high-end specifications and unique numbering.
We’ve built a system using this motherboard and have reviewed it (see here). This review includes detailed benchmarks and testing.
Spec-wise, this motherboard is a beast. It has 24+2+1 110A power phases, a 10-layer PCB, and a 64MB BIOS ROM. Additionally, it features both 10Gb and 5Gb Ethernet, WIFI 7, USB 4 support, and a 3.99-inch Dynamic Dashboard III display.
Each motherboard is numbered and comes with collector’s accessories. There’s a collector’s stand and a Black Lucky plush. Tech-wise, each motherboard also comes with an EZ Control hub and an M.2 XPANDER-Z SLIDER Gen 5 add-in card. This board has a huge amount of PCIe connectivity, so much so that it can’t all be fed at once. AMD’s X870E platform is being pushed to its limit here. That said, it’s not often that users will be pushing all of their PCIe devices to their limits all at once.
If you are building a high-end PC and money is no object, the MSI X870 GODLIKE X is the motherboard for you. With an asking price of over $1,000, this isn’t a motherboard for the faint of heart. It’s premium, it’s excessive, it’s Godlike.
