Next-generation KS? Intel reveals Core Ultra “295K” CPU

A typo, or a KS series successor? Intel has listed a CPU called the Core Ultra 295K

As spotted by @momomo_us, Intel has listed a processor called the Ultra 9 295K on its support website. Intel did not reveal this new CPU during last week’s Core Ultra 200 series “Arrow Lake” unveiling. Based on its name, it appears to be a higher-end CPU model that stands above Intel’s Core Ultra 285K.

It has been speculated that the 295K is an upcoming successor to Intel’s KS series of i9 CPUs. This would make the Core Ultra 9 295K a higher-speed version of their Ultra 9 285K. This would make the 295K a successor to the i9-13900KS and i9-14900KS.

Is this CPU a typo or a future Core Ultra flagship? So far, Intel has not altered this CPU listing, though that may change soon. Note that Intel’s Ultra 9 285K was not listed, though it is worth noting that the Ultra 7 265K and many other Core Ultra CPUs have not been listed.

(Information from Intel)

When compared to the 285K, Intel’s 295K or 285KS would likely feature a higher TDP and CPU core clock speeds that are a few hundred MHz higher. This would give this new higher-end CPU a slight performance advantage in all workloads.
