Retail listings leak for Ryzen 2nd Generation processors
Retail listings leak for Ryzen 2nd Generation processors
So far the following Ryzen second Generation product codes have been discovered, which when searched can find several early retail listings. Just like previous leaks have suggested, no Ryzen 7 1800X successor has been found.Â
– Ryzen 7 2700X –Â YD270XBGAFBOX
– Ryzen 7 2700 –Â YD2700BBAFBOX
– Ryzen 5 2600X –Â YD260XBCAFBOX
– Ryzen 5 2600 –Â YD2600BBAFBOX
Below is an image of the German retail listing which was taken by chaos panda on the 3dcenter forums, highlighting that the Ryzen 5 2600X will have a base clock speed f 3.6GHz and a maximum boost clock speed of 4.25GHz. The box also appears larger than the retail packaging of the 1600X, which is consistent with earlier leaks which suggest that the CPU will ship with a Wraith Spire (non-LED) cooling solution.Â
The inclusion of a stock cooler will be a huge boost for AMD, giving them a key advantage over Intel who doesn’t ship stock coolers with unlocked processors. This add-on provides the buyer with the chance to use these CPUs before they invest in high-end cooling solutions, or ignore aftermarket cooling entirely is they want to use the processors at stock clocks. Â
Â
This data lines up perfectly with earlier Ryzen second generation leaks, which listed the same base and boost clock speeds, with similar pricing when accounting for VAT and a conversion from Euros to USD.Â
These leaks also list a shipping date of April 19th, which sits within AMD’s intended “April 2018” release window for Ryzen 2nd Generation CPUs and 400-series AM4 motherboards. Â
